Pia Sellery

Pia Sellery is going into her third and final year at the University of Southern California where she is majoring in psychology. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Pia has always been passionate about mental health and advocating for open communication regarding mental well-being.

Pia is one of the cofounders of "Times I Got Wrecked", a website that shares women's stories about topics ranging from mental health, sexual assault, school stress, to friendships. She currently works at the Endocrinology of Social Ties Lab, or NEST, which studies family relationships between first time parents and their child. She mainly focuses on the MRI aspect of the study that is investigating how first time fathers' brains change during the progression into fatherhood. Other than psychology, Pia is fascinated by neuroscience and hopes to continue working with MRI imaging later in her educational career.

With graduation in a year, Pia is hoping to continue her education by either applying to medical school or into Ph.D clinical psychology programs.
